Ability Centre recognises that navigating the sea of services available for customers, families and carers can be overwhelming.  Internally we have tried to make this easier but we understand that holistically there are supports and information outside of Ability Centre that could be valuable to you. Act, Belong, Commit

Act-Belong-Commit is a comprehensive health promotion campaign that encourages individuals to take action to protect and promote their own mental wellbeing and encourages organisations that provide mentally healthy activities to promote participation in those activities.

Carers WA

Western Australia’s peak body representing family carers by providing advice, counseling, support groups, education, wellness and a young carers program.

Commonwealth Respite & Carelink Centre

A single point of contact for information on community, aged and disability services and carer support.

 EDAC (Ethnic Disability Advocacy Centre)

The peak advocacy organisation for people with disabilities from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds in WA.

Every Australian Counts

Provides up to date information on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). 

Health and Disability Services Complaints Office

An independent statutory authority providing an impartial resolution service for complaints relating to health or disability services.

Independent Living Centre

Solutions to mobility and accessibility problems.


Supports families of children with disabilities and special needs by providing practical information and support, and connecting them with other services and families.

An online community designed just for young people living with a serious illness, chronic health condition or disability, and their families. 

NDS (National Disability Services)

National Disability Services is the Australian peak body for non-government disability service.  

Office of the Public Advocate

Information, advice and training on guardianship, administration, Enduring Powers of Attorney, Enduring Powers of Guardianship and protecting vulnerable adults.

People With Disability WA

Individual and systemic advocacy for people with a disability.

SECCA (Sexuality Education Counselling  and Consultancy Agency)

Supports people with disabilities to learn about human relationships, sexuality and sexual health.
