Ability Centre offers a range of services for people living in regional and remote Western Australia.

Therapy Services & Supports

Our teams will visit you wherever suits you, whether that’s at home, school or in your community.

South West

Ability Centre has a team of therapists based in Busselton, who cover a wide area. They travel south to Pemberton, across to Manjimup and north to Bunbury. 

We can offer you:

  • Social work
  • In-home respite
  • Teletherapy


Our Northam therapists work in the community and will travel to the surrounding inner wheatbelt areas.

We can offer you:

  • Physiotherapy
  • Speech Pathology
  • Teletherapy

If you live in the greater Wheatbelt, we can support you in Northam or Bunbury. 

If you are visiting Perth, you can also attend one of our clinics located in Coolbinia, Currambine and Canning Vale.


Teletherapy is available across Western Australia to anyone who has access to an internet connection. Teletherapy connects you with a Perth based therapist for one-on-one therapy sessions. This can be a regular session or an intensive block of therapy, depending on your needs and funding. Ability Centre currently provides speech pathology, occupational therapy, dietetics and some physiotherapy and Positive Behavioural Support services through Teletherapy.

Country Resource Program

The Country Resource Program supports and enhances local therapy services.

Our team will respond to specific requests by customers and local therapists, while your therapist remains responsible for your ongoing therapy needs.

Areas we assist with include:

  • Assessment and therapy advice, including pre-planning support for NDIS
  • Equipment provision and design
  • Community inclusion
  • Support and advocacy
  • Specialist clinics

If you are visiting Perth, you can access support from our Country Team located in Coolbinia.

Support for Clinicians

Ability Centre can offer regional clinicians a range of support and professional development services through the Country Resource Program.

Our team can provide you with specialist advice, facilitate workshops and clinics for your team.

The Country Resource Program also run bi-monthly professional learning workshops for the WA Community Health Services.

Specialist Supports

Ability Centre can provide you with a range of specialist supports.

Our assistive technology and equipment service CP Tech can provide you with a range specialist support.  This can include using technology to support everyday living and communication, mobility, sitting and postural support, sleep solutions, home modification and equipment.

We also run a range of specialist clinics in Perth including, upper and lower limb analysis, splinting, spinal clinics, dietetics and meal support.

Ability Centre offers services and supports to regional and remote customers through a range of funding streams including Patient Assisted Transport Services. If you are transferring or transitioning the NDIS, you can find out more by visiting our NDIS page.
