Looking for something fun to do during the July school holidays?
Well, look no further! Ability Centre’s therapy team have come up with some awesome ideas to keep the kids (and grown-ups) entertained and exercising over the break.
With plenty of indoor activities on offer, there’s no excuse to hideaway this winter break.
Nimble Fingers for ages 3 – 7 years
Here’s a new one for the kids! The Nimble Fingers group is exclusive to our Currambine hub and focuses strongly on improving children’s hand skills.
Like many of our groups, our therapists use interactive games to make the sessions fun, the kids won’t even realise they’re working on developing their bimanual, fine motor, sensory motor, drawing and writing!
Places are filling up fast, and this isn’t a group you want to miss. Running over four days, sessions from Monday 10 July to Thursday 13 July at 9:30am to 11:00am at Ability Centre’s northern hub, Unit 5, 1 Hobsons Gate, Currambine.
Yoga Bears for 5 – 10 years
Yoga Bears is an interactive exercise group aimed at improving core strength, balance, body awareness and whole body control in a relaxing and fun environment.
Places are limited for this program so get in quick. Sessions run during the first week of the school holidays from 9.30am to 10.30am (Monday 3 July to Friday 7 July) at Ability Centre’s southern hub located at Unit 9/190 Bannister Road, Canning Vale.
Let’s get social for 10 - 14 years
Our new Speech Pathology group is all about hanging out, making new friends and having fun – who doesn’t love that!
This group will focus on improving social skills and working on key areas such as improving conversation skills, learning to make new friends and considering the feelings of others.
Sessions are spread over two weeks and run on 3rd, 4th, 5th, 10th, 11th, 12th July. The group will be held at Armadale Arena, Forrest Road & Townley Street, Armadale at 11:30am - 12:30pm.
Places in all groups are filling fast and bookings are essential.
