Research on the Walk Aide® for Children with Cerebral Palsy

A research team from Ability Centre and Princess Margaret Hospital for Children, led by Dayna Pool, has found that the walk aide® helps children with unilateral spastic cerebral palsy. Two studies were published in Paediatric Physical Therapy and Archives of Physiotherapy. The first study showed improvements on a number of outcomes. The second study shows that the walk aide® helps children and their families meet their individual goals.

What do you need as a carer?

Researchers at Curtin University are conducting a study to find out what younger and older carers need.

They would like to hear from you if you are:
· Caring for someone or cared for someone in the last 12 months
· Between 15 and 25 or older than 60
· Able to read and communicate in English

Participating would mean:
Completing a questionnaire taking only 15 minutes of your time. This can be completed online using the link below:

Or, if preferred, a paper version can be sent to you. There is also the possibility of participation in a face to face interview, where you will be able to tell us about your personal experience as a carer.
